How Matching Works

The short version: your words become numbers, and the numbers get compared.

The Steps

1. Your cv.md is fetched after you push a change.

2. It is cut into individual pieces – a paragraph, a bullet, a grouped set of bullets.

3. Each piece is scored on its own merit, with the surrounding context taken into account.

4. All of those scores roll up into a single score card.

5. Your score card is compared against every job in the database.

Why This Order

Scoring small pieces separately means a single strong accomplishment does not have to compete with the rest of the page for attention.
